Yes sadly the forge must rest for a while due to my paying job finally having a TONNE of work and hopefully overtime.
An update on my projects
- Sgian dubh #1 is complete if a little scuffed. I will post later on in the week.
- Sgian dubh #2 has been changed to a "shifter-knife" or a knife made from an old shifter so it can function as both.
- wakizashi furniture construction will start tomorrow
-Chef Knife has hit a road block as the steel im using wont stop rusting (however a generous application of solvent has seemed to slow the process considerably)
- and last a Dirk (Scottish short sword/long knife) for my Fathers 51st birthday.

General update

Having finished the Blade of woe and the Wakizashi (metal component) I thought it appropriate to update my journal.
next in line is a Scottish boot knife (Sgian Dubh (probably 2 of them)), kitchen knife for a mate and finally the Morgul blade from the hobbit. bloody cant wait.
also instead of doing wrapped handles im trying to move towards wooden and leather ones and metal fittings instead of the one-piece construction method

on the line-up I have a Knife in the style of the Blade of Woe from Skyrim, A Wakizashi, and one Design Pending. its a living withal an awesome one.
